At CLC, we believe that a child’s early years are critical. They set the foundation for all future learning and development.
Today, CLC faces significant challenges to:
- Address the fact that public funding (federal, state & local) is increasingly under pressure and declining
- Retain and maintain high-quality staff and programs
- Close the gap (400+ children not attending pre-school)
- Continue to upgrade / expand facilities & technologies
Early childhood Education and Care programs are our best chance to:
- Close the achievement gap in our public schools
- Enable children to thrive and parents to provide essential services in our communities
- Provide services to the 90%+ of CLC’s children that come from low-income families who can only afford a portion of the cost
- Serve a growing number of special needs children
