Health & Nutrition
At CLC, we believe healthy bodies
help build healthy minds. Therefore, we provide specific health
and nutrition services, which enhance a child‘s well-being
and overall learning experience.
Healthcare and health education
Our health staff includes registered full time nurses and a nurse practitioner
who visit the centers during normal hours of service. Services include:
- Comprehensive vision and hearing screenings
- Dental screenings for 3- and 4-year-olds
- Classroom health education activities
- Consultations with teachers and parents
- Staff training and support
Nutrition services
CLC‘s Nutrition and Food Service Program is supervised
by a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietary Manager, and
provides:
- Nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks
- Individual nutrition assessments and counseling
- Nutrition education for parents and teachers
- Special services for children who have allergies and
other special dietary needs
