The Stamford School Readiness Program

Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday

Fee: Sliding Scale - Range: $43 per month to $1,160 per month

Full-day pre-school for Stamford 3 & 4 year old children

Part-day pre-school for Stamford 3 & 4 year old children

(Part-day hours: 8:30am – 11:15am & 12:30pm – 3:15pm)

The School Readiness Program is open to all Stamford residents. It utilizes the Creative Curriculum, with instruction in reading, math, science, social studies, the arts and technology. The program features active learning to foster self-esteem. The Stamford School Readiness Program is a collaboration with the Stamford Board of Education, The City of Stamford and CLC. The program is accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

The Stamford School Readiness Program is organized in Clusters established by primary-school district within Stamford. Throughout the year, each cluster interacts with its associated elementary school. The program features the Studio Concept where teachers bring small groups of students to specialized Studios for hands-on projects in science, music, reading, cooking and woodworking.

There are many opportunities for parents to get involved with their child’s education including Breakthrough to Literacy and significant partnerships with The Ferguson Library, The Stamford Museum the Bruce Museum.
